2. Visiting the website and taking the quiz

You can read the site and take the Mismatch Quiz without an account or email address. Quiz answers are used in the browser to display a result and are not sent to this site or stored on its server.

The site does not use advertising trackers, user accounts or behavioural profiling. Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Search Console are described in section 4. The content is general health education, not medical advice. Please do not enter medical records, diagnoses, medication lists, passwords, financial information or other sensitive information into the contact or newsletter forms.

3. Hosting

The website is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may receive technical request data such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser and device information, referrer, status information and security or error-log data.

This processing is used to deliver, secure and maintain the website and to prevent abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Cloudflare processes data under its own privacy policy and applicable service terms. Cloudflare may process data internationally; its current privacy information describes the applicable safeguards. Retention depends on Cloudflare’s operational and security needs, account settings and legal obligations.

4. Analytics and search performance

Cloudflare Web Analytics

The Pages project may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page views and real-user performance. Cloudflare’s Web Analytics beacon uses the browser Performance API and may report page views, visits, page-load timing, Core Web Vitals and technical dimensions such as the page, referrer, browser, operating system and country.

Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use client-side cookies or localStorage for usage metrics and does not fingerprint individuals via their IP address, User Agent or other data. It is not used here for advertising, cross-site profiling or personalised marketing. The beacon sends analytics data to Cloudflare, which processes it under its privacy policy, applicable service terms and the relevant Customer Data Processing Addendum. International-transfer safeguards are described in Cloudflare’s current privacy information.

The legal basis for the operator’s use of this privacy-oriented measurement is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in understanding which content is useful and keeping the website fast and reliable. The current Web Analytics setup does not intentionally write or read analytics cookies or local storage. If another Cloudflare analytics, advertising or tracking feature is enabled, this Privacy page and any required consent mechanism must be reviewed before that feature is used.

Google Search Console

The operator uses Google Search Console to monitor indexing, search visibility, technical coverage and aggregate search performance. The property is intended to be verified through a DNS record. With that method, the website does not add a Google Analytics script, Google Tag Manager script, Search Console tracking tag or Search Console cookie.

Google processes search-related and technical information under its privacy policy. The operator receives reports such as search queries, impressions, clicks, indexing status and page-performance information in aggregate and does not use Search Console to identify individual visitors. The legal basis for using the service is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in maintaining a discoverable, technically functioning website and correcting indexing errors.

5. Contact messages

The contact form works in your browser. It does not send the form directly to this website or to MailerLite. When you submit it, your email application opens a message addressed to [email protected]; you decide whether to send it.

If you send a message, the email provider and mailbox providers involved may process your email address, message, attachments and technical email data. The operator uses the information to answer your inquiry and, where relevant, to take requested pre-contractual steps. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for a voluntary inquiry or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where pre-contractual steps are requested. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed for the inquiry, legal obligations or legal claims.

6. Newsletter

The optional newsletter is provided by MailerLite. The signup form is separate from the contact form and the quiz. The homepage loads the signup form when it opens; on the quiz page it appears with the result. The form includes an unchecked consent checkbox and a link to this Privacy page.

If you subscribe, MailerLite receives your email address and the information needed to create and manage your subscriber record. The purposes are to send the requested newsletter, record consent, send the double-opt-in confirmation and provide subscription and unsubscribe functions. The first confirmed newsletter email may also deliver the free Mismatch Sleep Diary promised on the quiz result page. No quiz answers, result pattern or health information is sent to MailerLite for this delivery. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting the operator.

MailerLite Limited, 88 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2, Ireland, acts as the newsletter provider and processor for subscriber data. MailerLite’s current information about processing, subprocessors and international transfers is available in its privacy policy and Data Processing Addendum. MailerLite may retain records needed to manage subscriptions, prevent accidental re-subscription and meet legal obligations.

The website does not use a separate newsletter analytics service. MailerLite may process the form and subscription events needed to operate the newsletter. Email campaign open and click metrics are controlled by the MailerLite account, not by this website. MailerLite’s information about form storage and cookies is available here.

7. YouTube videos

Blog pages offer optional YouTube videos. No YouTube player is loaded until you select Allow YouTube videos. After that choice, the site loads a muted player from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain. You can continue without the video and withdraw the choice below.

After the player loads, YouTube and Google may receive technical information and playback activity. The legal basis for loading the player is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where applicable, § 25 TDDDG. See Google’s privacy policy and YouTube’s terms.

8. Cookies and local storage

The site does not intentionally set first-party cookies for advertising, profiling or analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use client-side cookies or localStorage for its usage metrics. This site uses browser localStorage only to remember your YouTube permission until you withdraw it or delete site data. Quiz answers remain in page memory while the quiz is open. MailerLite may use provider-controlled storage or cookies according to the form configuration described above.

9. Affiliate and other external links

Some articles contain clearly marked affiliate links. When you follow an affiliate or other external link, the destination provider may process technical data and, for affiliate links, record the referral under its own privacy policy. The operator does not control those providers.

10. Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements and limits, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time for the future.

11. Automated decisions and updates

The site does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects through automated processing. The quiz gives an educational pattern suggestion only.
